De Ford Gran Torino Sport uit 1972 is een sportieve uitvoering van de derde generatie Torino, geproduceerd door Ford voor de Amerikaanse markt. De Gran Torino werd dat jaar volledig herontworpen met een bredere, lagere carrosserie en een opvallend "Coke bottle"-design, wat hem een krachtig en gespierd uiterlijk gaf.
Belangrijke kenmerken van de 1972 Gran Torino Sport:
