Carlos Sainz eindigt als vierde in GP van Italië 2024
Carlos Sainz begon de race op Monza vanaf P5. Hij reed een stabiele openingsfase en schoof tijdelijk op naar P2 toen andere coureurs hun pitstop maakten. In ronde 20 ging hij zelf naar harde banden, iets later dan de directe concurrentie.
Na zijn stop probeerde Sainz zijn positie te verdedigen tegen Piastri en Norris, maar hun snellere banden gaven hen het voordeel. In ronde 45 verloor hij P2 aan Piastri, gevolgd door Norris drie ronden later.
Hij finishte als vierde, net buiten het podium, maar droeg waardevolle punten bij aan Ferrari’s sterke thuisoptreden. De SF-24 toonde opnieuw zijn snelheid en consistentie op het snelle Monza-circuit.
