1953 Studebaker Starliner
De 1953 Studebaker Starliner is een designicoon uit de jaren ’50, ontworpen door Raymond Loewy. Met zijn gestroomlijnde carrosserie, lage daklijn en elegante proporties onderscheidde hij zich sterk van de typische Amerikaanse auto’s uit die tijd. De Starliner oogde bijna Europees en was zijn tijd ver vooruit.
Onder de motorkap lag een 3.8-liter zescilinder of optioneel een 4.2-liter V8, gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde of automatische transmissie. Dit maakte de wagen niet alleen stijlvol, maar ook verrassend capabel op de weg. Kleuren als Coral Red, Sheridan Green, Ivory Cream en Commander Blue versterkten zijn unieke uitstraling.
