De Porsche 911 GT3 (991) uit 2012 is een high-performance sportwagen en de eerste GT3 op basis van de 991-generatie. Dit model betekende een grote technologische sprong voor de GT3-reeks, met innovaties die de auto sneller en toegankelijker maakten zonder zijn pure rijervaring te verliezen.
Onder de motorkap ligt een 3.8-liter atmosferische flat-six motor, die 475 pk levert bij 8.250 toeren per minuut. De GT3 sprint van 0-100 km/u in 3,5 seconden en bereikt een topsnelheid van 315 km/u. Een belangrijk verschil met voorgaande generaties is dat de 991 GT3 alleen werd geleverd met een razendsnelle 7-traps PDK-automaat, in plaats van een handgeschakelde versnellingsbak. Dit zorgde voor snellere schakeltijden en verbeterde prestaties op het circuit.
